The Elgin County Beagle Club held another very successful Governor’s Trophy Trial on April 29, 07.  Albert Challis (the Governor) originally developed this event. The running this event in a small pack format with all placing hounds receiving a financial reward adds to the excitement.

One half of the entry fee of the class is paid back on a percentage basis to the four placing hound of each class. This event also includes the winners from each class being braced together and run until the judges agree on who is the absolute winner.

The weather for this event was just excellent, the rabbits came up good and everyone had a great time.

The members wish to thank the young men that volunteered to judge this event we deeply appreciate their efforts. We would like to thank all the members that worked so hard to complete this event. The members want to thank our guests for coming out to our club and spending the day supporting our event and running the little dogs. Thanks to the kitchen staff for supplying the meals.
